Alvin is known for his timely delivery of life-applicable Bible teaching, preaching and counseling and his heavy mantle for worship. He finds himself offering support, guidance and a listening ear to various leaders, pastors, musicians, technicians, husbands and fathers in a myriad of settings. Nicole is often sought after for her keen sense of discernment, powerful prayer life and strong, yet practical, wisdom. She is just as likely to offer strategies in a one-on-one meeting as she is to relay a timely and accurate word from God that speaks to your soul while feeding you an amazing home cooked meal. Alvin and Nicole have decades of experiences working in their individual fields of expertise, be it music, technology, education, child development, or family dynamics. Yet, what stands out most about these two is how dynamic and powerful they are together!

 

Happily married for 20 years, Alvin and Nicole are a true husband and wife team, working side-by-side in a combined effort to see individuals and families fulfill their purpose in life and reach their maximum potential. To that end, they counsel couples, individuals, families and leaders as often as they can.

 

Alvin and Nicole founded The Cadence Project as a natural extension of their combined call to ministry. This organization is dedicated to counseling families and individuals on life-strategies and interpersonal relationships and providing leadership development and resources to pastors and executives all across the globe.

Whether providing Biblical foundation for successful marriages, hosting Encounter worship events, mentoring young men and women, believing in the miraculous, supporting developing musicians, sharing leadership strategies, or assisting in Hurricane Harvey restoration efforts, Alvin and Nicole share their life experiences and relationship with God in very real and relatable ways.

 

It is Alvin's and Nicole's heartfelt desire—by example, leadership, teaching, preaching, mentoring, and musically—to lead people in a personal and intimate relationship with God.

 

Alvin and Nicole have two teenage children, Alexander and Alyssa, and reside in Houston, Texas.
